RemoveAISlop vs EditGPT

EditGPT fixed every typo in our test. It left all eight AI phrases in place.

EditGPT sends your draft through ChatGPT and shows the edits as tracked changes, which makes it a good proofreader. On our test paragraph it caught all five planted mistakes, two more than we did. It also passed the stock opener, the "not just X, it's Y" line and every other machine-typical phrase straight through.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is EditGPT better than RemoveAISlop for grammar?

In our test, yes. On the same 69-word paragraph EditGPT fixed all five planted mistakes and we caught three, missing a subject-verb slip and who's for whose. If spelling and grammar are all you need checked, that result should count for more than anything else on this page.

Does EditGPT remove AI-sounding phrasing?

Not on its default edit. Our test paragraph opened with a stock line about a fast-paced world and closed by promising a seamless experience, and both survived untouched. A higher rewrite depth or a custom prompt may change them, but the replacement wording then comes from ChatGPT too.

Does EditGPT use ChatGPT?

Yes. Its own pages describe it as combining ChatGPT with a track changes interface. It also says your content is never used to train AI models, which is a stronger default than ChatGPT itself offers on Free and Plus.

Which one should I use for a non-English draft?

EditGPT. It supports more than 80 languages and we check English only. Our catalogue of machine-typical phrasing was built from English research and has no equivalent yet for other languages.

Can I use both together?

Yes. Run EditGPT for the proofreading pass and accept the tracked changes you agree with, then paste the result here for the phrasing check. The two do not overlap much, since EditGPT fixes errors and this names the habits that read as generated.

Is there a free EditGPT alternative?

Five drafts a day are free here with no account, and each gets spelling, grammar, readability and the AI phrasing check. EditGPT lets you try 300 words without an account and has a free sign-up tier. Neither replaces the other entirely.
